Missed the 9:30 train when I reached the Hauptbahnhof at 9:30! Oh well, lesson learnt. Here in Europe, punctuality is a given, not a virtue. So I took the next train at 10:30am, paid additional 28 euros for it.
Anyway upon reaching Copenhagen it was nearly sunset, and I had to travel down to Lyngby to find Yee Hsu. We then took a train out to Copenhagen to see the opening of the barrels of Christmas beer. Unfortunately I didn't bring my camera so it is left to imagination how the chaos was like.
At night we went to Christiania, and my friend went about his weekly purchases.
Christiania is a place in Copenhagen which is almost completely free from the laws of Denmark. Weed is peddled legally, along with hashish and some other soft drugs. However, no photos are allowed to be taken inside!
Day 2 started bright and early. We headed towards The Little Mermaid.
Some queer modern art gallery |
No Little Mermaid and me, because the screwy camera lost the data. Yay!
Then we went to Nyhaven, I took many pictures of the city center and the wonderfully colored buildings, along with the delicious tasting Churros. It is because of Nyhaven that I feel that Copenhagen is a very livable city, and that if I had to work in Europe, I would not decline having to live in Copenhagen.
However, because of the lousy camera, no photos are available.
Also, no pictures of Christiania and me, because of the same reason!
So anyway we went to Christiania at night to watch some soccer at the pub, and relax. Afterwards we went back, and the next morning I returned for Hamburg.
